I think it's far better to limit ourselves to discussing this issue only in so far as it's likely to impact our investment in MSFT, rather than ranging over the meaning of free enterprise, the nature of good and evil, or the grand political consipiracies of our age.

*sigh*. Actually all of those things DO impact our investments in MSFT, to one degree or the other. Well, except perhaps the nature of good and evil. :-)

I frankly don't think the issue is all that complex to the extent that useful discussion cannot take place within the confines of a medium like a message board. Certainly a shift in the government's anti-trust policies, attacks on free enterprise, and political "conspiracies" that result in actions under the Sherman AntiTrust Act such as what I believe is taking place with MSFT, Intel, Cisco, Visa/MC, Staples, etc. are relevant to ALL investors, but especially MSFT investors at this point int time.
