Sam, The priests had all kind of stories circulated to discredit Jesus after His death and resurrection. I would rely on no Jewish writings other than the disciples about Jesus. The ruling class wanted to discredit Him to retain their power and influence over the people. The leading Jews did not want the jews to follow Jesus and made up many stories. There has been a lot of things written to discredit God and what He has done. It serves the devil to do that. But if you don't believe there is a devil then how much easier his job becomes! Bob
