Here's some changes at the TSE (a little late, don't you think)...
Dec. 12 - TSE - TSE LAUNCHES NEW LISTING APPLICATION
From: Canada News Wire
The Toronto Stock Exchange is pleased to announce the introduction of a new listing application form. Written in ''plain language'' and designed for user-friendliness, this form can be used by all listing applicants, regardless of their nature of business. Effective immediately, there are no longer two separate application forms for resource and non-resource companies. In January, the new form will be available on diskette, featuring a ''help function'' to guide the user through the application. Additional information requirements have also been introduced for applicants for listing in the ''mining'' category. These cover the status of the company's land tenure, drilling methods, sampling procedures, assay labs and analytical methods. Further changes may be introduced, subject to the recommendations of the Mining Standards Task Force. Established jointly by the TSE and Ontario Securities Commission, Task Force recommendations are to be released for comment in early 1998.
