Marketing is the key. When you pay +1500 for a computer you expect to keep it for 2-3 yrs. What is an xtra 100 - 150 bucks. Besides who has heard of the other? Have seen an AMD and Cyrix AD on the boom box (TV). Most people view a computer as too high tech to take a chance on the other processor. Anyway, we humans will buy Nikes even if we can get the same for half the price. It's cool to own an Intel.
