I am curious. Just how profitable have cable companies been on a cash flow basis (including cap ex) from start to present? I'm not looking for exact numbers, but when you consider their huge infrastructure spending for outdated technology, have they really made so much money, or does it just look good on an earnings basis because they are still writing off their huge capital investments. I am not sure that even with a monopoly, they were able to make that much. That is why they would like to use that expensive infrastructure for something else. Hmm?
