Duncan, (OFF TOPIC) those were some pretty good disclosures. Are you in the securities business?
Is it true that the grocery store bagboys are all 70+ in Naples? :-) (Just something I heard....)
Do you fly thru Tampa any on your commutes?
<<I believe in truth, justice and the American Way.>> Zounds! We agree!
<< AOL LIES. Period.>> Do you mean that Steve Case Lies? Bob Pittman lies? AOL IR lies? I believe they tell what they know truthfully, but they don't always know where they are going. After the fact it appears they lied. They are "boldly going forth where no company has ventured before", and getting knocked off course quite a bit while they go. This last thought can also be said of MSN, Prodigy, Compuserve, Netcom, PSIX, etc.
What equities do I like? All buy and long term hold, with the usual disclaimers:
AOL - you know the way I view the story
CheckFree - PC Banking, E-commerce. 80% market share in billpay. Emerging story, not yet profitable.
Fair Isaac - Predictive modeling and database mining for the Financial Services industry. Dominant name, repetitive purchase item for credit providers. Coming on in Mortgage Underwriting (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are encouraging, but not yet requiring, credit score usage)
Qualcomm - Digital wireless communications. "Owns" CDMA. PCS voice standard.
If you have a layover in Tampa, let me know. I know a few lawyer jokes I could tell you.
