Hi Ed,

There's something a little unsettling about MS rushing and getting an operating system out early. Given the history of bugs with some of their previous past due OS's....makes me want to stand aside and watch while others road test the final release.

An aside: I was listening to a program on PBS radio a couple of days ago...the talk show was about the anniversary of the personal computer...one of the guests on the show was a member of the original group of IBM'ers who are commonly given credit for kick starting the PC in everyone's pot era. The host of the show commented that this particular fellow had designed the ctrl-alt-delete procedure that has proven so helpful when machines decide to freeze. The engineer responded... " Thanks, yes I'm the guy who came up with the idea but at the same time I've got to give Bill Gates a lot of the credit for making it so popular" <ggg>
