Arno, I believe you are absolutely correct. the DEC lawsuit is merely the "last gasps of a drowning" company. They have finally realized that the Alpha (even with NT) is not going to make it. Once again, HP has beaten DEC to the right answer. HP's previous success over DEC was back in the mid 80's when HP went to UNIX and DEC stayed with a proprietary operating system. I also agree that this lawsuit will take DEC's focus away from their core business (mfg & selling workstations/servers) and focus on litigation. Make It So, Yousef
