Waterhouse is limited by the software firms it uses such as Marketware International. If enough people have made the suggesion to Waterhouse, Im sure they will contact their software providers so that the software can indeed be upgraded. Currently there is no web trading that is completely flawless. Only after the industry accelerates, and more usage of the systems is done, will there be vast improvements. If you do have a problem, the Waterhouse representative is right, use your branch office, place the trade and ask for the $12 rate as well as tell them the problem you experienced with the Webbroker. Many of the other internet trading firms will not honor the lower rate when using a broker regardless of the problem.

The Waterhouse rep should have told you that the timetables for the upgrades are subject to change possibly or should not have mentioned a date at all. I e-mailed Waterhouse recently regarding improving the speed for the servers, or increasing capacity, and they told me that new software was being implemented for that. But timetables for software upgrades always change. I just happened to notice that Waterhouse has several new servers online with the security all ready, but they arent in use yet. I hope by Monday they will be put online. Right now the servers do tend to lag a bit and are slower then they should be but that problem will be corrected as UU.NET (Waterhouse's ISP) is doing alot of upgrades, and Waterhouse is working on the servers which I hope will be up ASAP.
