Appologies! My vulgate Latin is a bit rusty.
As for Vespasian and his vespasiano(s), look at the bright side of things: during the first half of the 19th century, in London and Paris, the population was still throwing "household wastage" out the window into the middle of the street...
Also, Vespasian sounds like one of the originators of "public works" programs so familiar this century in many countries, including the US.
Anyway, this Roman initiative serves a better public purpose than free distribution of glow-in-the-dark condoms in schools.
"Sic transit gloria mundi" as they teach kiddos in today's public schools.
