This may happen - but with a firm like Merrill Lynch? or any other well respected firm? Did they name any names? I know Merrill still likes the stock and I would highly doubt that they are pumping up the price. The analyst does give some valid points why she likes the stock and also realizes the risks associated with it. These analysts actually met with company insiders and get a little better look at what's happening behind the scenes. There has to be some reasons to be long on the stock and I think her points are valid.
I know it may be a weak analogy but look at the computer stocks a couple months back Dell-24, Gate-18, now look at these stocks. Everybody thought that the PC industry had slowed down. A few months later and this is suddenly a great industry. If all of a sudden there are some good reasons to be long on the Online Services this stock could make a comeback. Look at how much is jumped when Merrill raised estimates and look how much it jumped down with some bad news (although it was "old" news in my opinion). If we all knew who was right then we'd all be rich. It is such a rapidly changing industry that even changes daily.
