What do you expect to use in place of oil if you impose sanctions on SA, pray tell?

Because, you know, even if SA does not spur the rest of OPEC into retaliatory action against US, price of oil will go over $100 in a heartbeat in the very unlikely event of US imposing sanctions on SA oil.

Very true. I think we are between a rock and a hard place when it comes to SA.
