Questions sent thus far:

First - Are the contracts with the fabs in US$ or Asian$. If in Asian$, will this result in lower production costs due to decreased value of PacRim currency, higher margins and/or lower selling price to make CF/MMC more price competitive? (sent 12/12/97).

Second - Is SanDisk a member of DIG (Digital Imaging Group)? (sent 12/12/97)

The rest of the questions were sent on 12/19/97.

Third - What developments are there for the music industry (e.g. small mobile "Walkman" type device capable of replaying and recording?

Fourth - How are store and channel sales going? Will SanDisk be able to recognize some revenue during the fourth quarter as a result?

Fifth - On 2/26/97, an Administrative Law Judge of the ITC issued an initial determination which found that Samsung had infringed on claim 27 of the 338 patent in all its Nand flash memory products, including the Samsung 4Mbit, 16Mbit, 32Mbit, and 64Mbit Nand chips and memory cards built with same. SmartMedia is based on NAND gates, so doesn't this mean that SanDisk is getting royalties for SmartMedia sales?

Sixth - There is an advanced industry in "Smart Cards" (i.e. credit cards that contain up to 1/2 Mgbt of personal credit card information).

Does CF offer anything in this area? Do any of SanDisk's patents encompass the flash chips used in these cards? Any potential royalties to SanDisk?

Seventh - It seems that competition in the flash disk market is going to squeeze SanDisk's profits (e.g. Intel chip holds more and is cheaper per MB). A valid perception?
