SPEED LIMIT OF 20 POSTS FOR THIS SUBJECT PER DAY.

67% threshold: Because the discussions over past half year I herewith initiate a vote for or against speed limits. 67% voting for the new rule is the minimum to get it implemented. I'm using two thirds because it's a major change (not an evolution) of current rules.

Threshold of 20 post per day for this subject: I'm using a higher limit than proposed by some non paying members (i.e. 20 is more than 10 or 15) because it's quite a restrictive measure, because it's completely new, and because the higher limit will still take care of the real excesses. If it's voted in I want to see how it works for half a year before even considering lowering it.

Process: Anyone can nominate a poster for exceeding the 20 post limit per day for this subject (don't expect me to constantly count posts; don't expect me to be on line all the time). If the limit is met I'll then suspend the poster.
Some process guidance: I'm never going to count posts myself in case a certain long discussion is valuable to me or others as well as polite - I suggest you do the same. If however I see repetition of arguments, insults, ot, then I will start counting. In all cases if a person is nominated and has exceeded the 20 post threshold I'll suspend him/her without any discussion.

Penalty: Suspension is 48 hours. The penalty has to be serious enough for posters to stimulate self-moderation and not that too serious because all posts could theoretically actually be of superior quality. In reality expect it to be a few hours more than 48 hours because I'm not going to plan my life around this.

Recommendations: I'm using recommendations because it's fast, easy, and transparent. Vote please using the next two posts (not this one).

Any discussion about this proposal will need to take place on the OT board: Subject 53036 If you can't post there because you don't pay then pls either do not discuss this at all or send me an email.

EDIT: This vote will run for 48 hours.

Regards,

Rink
