Surface area is indead the problem with using zinc-air rechargable batteries in small applications, like Celular phones and camcorders. This was brought up at the stockholders meeting. What is possible, is a belt-worn or backpack battery. The only problem is the wide range of connectors and voltages used by various equipment.
