SIDT demoed two types of displays at Display Works. One was a high intensity single pixel CRT Lamp (based on diamond emission). Lots of them could be used to pave a billboard and sell lots of video advertising alongside freeways. Also people will crash their cars. The second display that they showed was a tileable LCD with ~1" pixels. Each pixel had its own little circuit board that soldered to the adjacent pixel. In about 100 pixels, there were several defects.

I can see applications for both. I've no idea if they will be able to manufacture at the low costs that will allow them to be successful.

I'm sorry I missed you, Joe. It would have been nice to meet some of you from here on the thread.
