The reason I picked RIO was the scenario I had laid out for this year -- the EIA approval was due early in the year, and then ould come the financing announcement and the start of construction, consistent news flow pushing the share price upwards through the year.

But instead I got lucky twice over: first, the approval came through just before year end; and it was a tough year for resource stocks so most everyone's pick didn't do as well as hoped.
