Well, if war is murder, then to be fair, shouldn't your own father have been prosecuted for killing Japanese or Germans or whatever during WWII?

I mean, how far do you want to push this?

Yes, people are killed in war. Yes, it's terrible.

We could all become pacifists but the Great Apes won't be impressed by our polite acquiescence in our own demise.

As the Dalai Lama says, "non-violence takes a long time."

As for trials, I've observed many hundreds of trials, and what lawyers say and what the witnesses say and what the news pundits say typically bear only a pale resemblance to what actually happened. Perception is subjective and memory is evanescent.

The Haditha trial will happen, and then what happens there is what happens there. I cannot predict and will not guess.
