This is a typical situation whereby Novell products are generally superior in many of their products to their competitors but no one knows who they are and what they have to offer.

I truly believe (and I have a very strong relationship with Novell) that Novell Marketing just doesn't know how they can get their message out to the public.

I have seen some real SUPER TV-Type ads and short videos that are up-beat and attention-getters, but they wont put it on CNN or CNBC or network TV. I think they need mind-share. When decision makers get into rooms (like you had brought up) so many times the Novell product is not even brought up. Why, because as terrible as it sound, mind-share and FADs gets these products on the table. Out of sight - Out of Mind.

Novell has tried so many means and methods to hit the right marketing key but they either dont follow through with the good ideas or just goes at it half-baked.

It almost the Banyan of the 90s. Great products bad marketing!
