Alan,
I see the same pictures painted by both you and Sam, but with different words, or different perspectives thereof. I am not trying to be antagonistic, only presenting what I see. We are all blind men trying to define an elephant with our hands. One grasps an ear and sees angel, feeling the wing. One grasps a leg, and feels a tree. One holds the tail and feels a rope. Throughout our lives we each stand in all the different perspectives. Sam has worked hard at seeing how all the perspectives fit together, and what he fights is anything that seeks to limit one to one perspective. It may be that those we call demons are merely holding a leg instead of a tail. I see both you and Sam speaking truth at the same time, in your own way. I hope that one day I am able to see the true picture of the entire elephant. And this is why I try to retain an ability to move from perspective to perspective. Just maybe, we are ALL right. In this way, maybe all is light. Where I see darkness, is simply light to which I am not yet open. Hopefully, with time, I will learn to see it all.
Peace, Darrin
P.S. Dan, you read that right. We may both be right. We may both 'win'. I hope I am open to what you have to offer. |
