Declaring war is hardly the answer to such things.


Rolling over and playing dead only gets you more of the same. Sometimes it is much cheaper in the long run to nip bad things in the bud.

It was Ali Salem, a liberal Egyptian playwright, who opined that Reagan made a huge mistake running away from Beirut after Hizbullah killed the Marines. He said we should have shelled Hizbullah's bases into dust.

It might have saved many lives if we had.
