Voice and data are becoming increasing integrated. Nobody wants to pay for two seperate networks anymore. Cisco is addressing this, the others (datacom and voice) will have to soon...

Cisco is partnering with Alcatel - using their DMT ADSL chip set.

Cisco just bought Dagaz to round out the integration picture -

I currently like Aware and Amati. I can see both company's stock doubling within the year. I don't think either company will be an ASND or a CSCO though. Nobody knew what a router was when CSCO started. CSCO (and a lot of other people) weren't sure if they wanted to get into the ISDN market when ASND started (now they do, of course, but ASND is big enough to hold it's own). Side note - ASND was originally a video-conferancing company. I think they still make some equipment. EVERYBODY is looking at xDSL and I don't think anybody will "get out of the box" before they get bought or put out of business by one of the big guys, IMHO.
