I agree with you on the interest rate expectation.

I think a break up of MSFT will be great for current MSFT stock holders. Suppose MSFT will become two companies, MS and FT. A few months after the break up, the stocks of MS and FT combined together will be more valuable than the old MSFT stocks. Bill Gates and all other current MSFT stock holders will be at least 25% richer.
