Gary,

I thought you might like to see the latest benchmarking
between Intel (P5/P6/PII) and AMD (K6). As you can see
from the table, the K6 is just barely a match for the
P5MMX. Based on this, I wonder why HP is messing around
with the K5 in cheap systems ?? Didn't Packard Bell almost
go bankrupt by buying low performance (at the time 90/100MHZ)
Pentiums and trying to have a lower cost system than the top
performance (at the time 120/133MHZ) systems. Does HP really
think they will sell ??
