jmac, I have to disagree with you on the fact that Intel's response has been lacking. I believe, it shows signs of a confident, mature and not concerned company to take their time, evaluate the patent and accord a proper response. To me it shows they are a well disciplined team which doesn't get rattled easily. After all what's really the rush?

I understand though it's tough on some investors to wait while the stock is getting hit. It's just the nature of the beast though, and part of the reason stocks are stocks and CD's are CD's.

The important thing to me is they analyze and answer the complaint correctly. Be honest and forthright. Then if they are correct and there is no infringement. Go on the offensive and defend there good name!

The one thing I would hate to see as a shareholder is they settle quickly to stop some bad PR and sacrifice the long term good name of Intel.
