My apologies for the delay in posting this.

The AMSI investor packet is an extremely attractive and a quite professionally done information packet. What follows is from that -

The "A" in AMSI for Apache Medical Systems, Inc. stands for: Acute Physiology Age Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE).

The APACHE methodology was created in 1978 by Dr. William Knaus and 3 colleagues at George Washington University. APACHE II was published in 1983. It has been, as a research tool, the subject of 350 peer-reviewed articles. More than 400 hospitals ordered original research disks from Dr. Knaus. APACHE III was published in 1991 and validated the use of the APACHE methodology for individual patients.

To put it simply, APACHE provides tools for "automated outcomes management" for clinical and financial information needs. APACHE systems are designed to help users gain measurable savings by providing automated clinical and resourse use managment data.

The goal is to help doctors achieve cost savings, while maintaining quality care for patients, and to assist hospitals gain savings.

APACHE has since built on its original "methodologies" with information systems and a range of applications consulting. Their cost-effective Benchmark Study provides a competitive clinical and financial profile. This helps to identify specific cost-saving strategies.

There are currently over 200 clients that use APACHE systems to decrease operating costs, yet maintain quality care.

Control costs and increase revenue. That's really the gist of it. Much of importance has already been posted but will add as time permits.
