Gordon, my basic point was that people try to convince others with manipulated or obsolete information and aren't honest about what they're doing. Don't you think we should leave AL GORE out of this for the moment and just focus on the underlying truth about society?? People are more unwilling to violate other people's rights, harm them, or steal their property if they know that those people have the ability and the means to personally defend themselves. Even killers would be less willing to attempt rape or murder if they felt the odds were that they would pay with their lives for the action.. Laws don't stop violence... People having the right and the means to defend themselves DO... Basic common sensical, "law of the jungle", logic.... that's all... Regards, Ron
