I hate media bias whether it comes from the right or the left, or from the owner's own selfish agenda, whatever that might be. Bias comes from many places. A big source of pressure comes from managers who refuse to offend commercial clients. And of course the readers and viewers often never know that "the truth is out there" but it is not being reported for one reason or another. That's the most insidious form of bias, the important stories that just never make it to publication. Media ownership is a key factor here. We have gone from hundreds of owners in this country to just a few large multinationals. And they all have their agendas and desires not to offend "key clients" which may include sponsors as well as powerful persons in government.
