a few short years ago i made an amino acid formula for an elderly male member of my family. his systolic BP was over 340 at the time and climbing. they kept changing medications and still his BP would go up a little every year.

i don't remember the total formula but it was 15 grams of arginine and one gram of glycine with two other aminos that i no longer remember. the dose was divided into three times a day with no eating at least an hour before and a half hour after taking.

i started him out very slowly and worked the dosage up as time went by and he showed no symptoms. about two months after he was taking the full dosage his BP gradually returned to normal (120/80) and occasionally 115/80.

on his next visit to the VA hospital, the nurse taking his BP before seeing the doctor took his BP three times because she couldn't believe it. the doctor asked what he was doing and he told the doc that i had made a formula for him. the doc told him to keep taking it. that's the good side of the story.

the bad side is that he didn't like the rules about taking the aminos and eventually just refused to take them. his blood pressure went back to where it was and he's back to changing medicines again. he feels he's lived most his life already and doesn't want to work so hard for what he calls a few more days. really, i can understand but i don't like it.

i made the formula with his age and gender in mind when i read the book "The Healing Nutrients Within" by Eric R. Braverman. i studied the book from front to back kept my own notes and came up with my own formula.

the aminos were mixed with water.. no capsules at all. after about 10 minutes of patient mixing, nearly all the aminos will disolve into the water.

i just remembered one of the other two aminos. Taurine. i don't remember the amount though. Taurine is like a miracle amino.

anyway, if you read the book you will be able to come up with your own formula. my relative never suffered any ill effects that we know of. but who knows what they'll find in the future. i just had to weigh his condition at the time with the risk of taking the aminos, which i thought to be very small.

i bought the aminos in bulk from "Jomar Labs". just google to find their website.

nice thread Eric.. i let people know about it on my site.
