Glad te see your post sal I agree the companies that will benefit first are companies that manufacture and install equipment for the production capability of HDTV at the studio and broadcast side not the end user crowd represented by pc companies and makers of television sets. The end user boom is still a few years away.The companies that are in a good spot for studio equipment and installation are Sony, Harris (hrs), Tektronix (tek), and AVID. These are some names I've came up with recently and they match your post. Harris has already landed contracts to design and install HDTV stations in florida, georgia and New York. Tektronix has landed major purchases in Europe and has been put on the short list of suppliers for the major networks. Being a stockholder in these companies I hope that this news is as bullish as I think.
