CalPERS decided to drop their initiative on the proxy yesterday. They seem happy that REN has done something, anything(?), to improve share- holder value. I read one of the reports that claimed environmental companies are in a declining industry! Since when has corporate America become so responsible as to clean up after themselves? I believe there are Billions of $ in the Superfund, if Congress would be responsible enough to release some of it, and level the playing field re: incinerators(regulated) vs. cement kilns(unregulated?). Plus there are new environmental startups out there as seen on these pages!
