Hi Joe, we agree on the idea that the church is the body of Christ. This is a symbolic representation to show the relationship that Jesus is the head(authority) of the spiritual church body, not the brick, wood, and paint church. Jesus never was interested in a kingdom on this earth. He told Pilate, " my kingdom is not of this world." The Bible also teaches that the kingdom is within you. This means the reign of God in the heart of a person and also the presence of the Holy Spirit within him/her, " 1 Cor 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 1 Cor 6:20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body."
