Cyrix is not desperate yet but it shows a lot of emotional distress. I think taking that Chuhuahua (Cyrix) out for a walk around the block might cure its uneasiness.

AMD is not desperate either because it strongly (yet remain to be seen) believes that K6 would grab at least 20% of the market worldwide. I do not believe AMD would start a lawsuit because legal actions are the last resort (prior to super desperation of evapration like DEC's case).

In fact, I believe (my opinion only) that since both Intel and AMD (at least that's what it claims) have production shortage to satisfy the world with inexpensive CPUs, they might develop a loose partnership, just like GM, Ford, and Chrysler here in Detroit area.
