Don't let the fact that the entire Dow averages have pulled our stock down to new lows pull you down. You have been a very loyal accumulator of ECD for too many years as I have. I continue to pick up more shares in light of these bargain basement prices and will continue to do so.
Shareholders are either well informed about ECD as you are, where we have come from, where we are and where we are going or they are not. Most are not. These shareholders should really only be chasing after blue chip stocks with some conservative predictable earnings that pay dividends. PERIOD! ECD's picture continues to get bigger and brighter (in spite of a lack of current earnings) with each passing quarter. If anyone does not truly believe that they really should not be in ECD stock.
We have a true world-class leader in Bob Stempel at the helm. And that's a fact, not an opinion. You also believe that or you don't. Too many people take this for granted. Stempel could be heading up any one of a number of major corporations if he chose to. But, instead, he has chosen ECD. There is a reason for this. I won't argue the fact that it is taking longer to bring about big time major international paradigm shifts from existing technologies to ours than anticipated. However, we are very definitely moving forward and making progress. Again, you either believe that or you don't. It's been a real battle to date. I'm reminded of a quote from Winston Churchill who stated "Big battles mean big victories". Ours will truly be a very big victory.
And let's not overlook Stan Ovshinski's genius, along with his wife Iris and their colleagues who have developed our unique core technologies.
You're only human if your faith gets tested. Mine does too. Be patient.
From what I have read on this thread I see some people anxious to see our latest 10K earnings report, which leads me to believe they anticipate some earnings. I personally don't see it. But, I do anticipate some continued progress, bringing us closer to a positive cash flow. This is strictly my own personal opinion.
Allen, I sure did not mean this post to appear be directed to you, but to all posters and lurkers as well. We have known each other entirely too long. I simply felt this needed to be said.
By the way, our new EV NiMH battery plant in Kettering, Ohio is about the size of a Walmart store, according to a personal friend of mine who checked it out for me.
I just think it is so ironic that our EV battery plant is located in Kettering, Ohio. For those of you who may not be familiar with the name Kettering, it was Charles Kettering that invented the first Electric starter for the 1912 Buick.( Kettering originally had his own Company in Dayton, Ohio and then was bought out by GM. The city of Kettering was named in Charles Kettering's honor.) This eliminated the need for the arm-breaking hand crank. Electric autos were very popular back then. In fact, Henry Ford's wife preferred an electric auto.
Kettering headed up GM's R&D and brought about a great number of product improvements including high compression engines, as we know them today, leaded gas, since outlawed, electronic ignition systems, among many others. Most people are familiar with the name Kettering as being associated with the Sloan-Kettering Cancer foundation. Sloan headed up GM during the years that GM became the giant they still are today. Sloan and Kettering pulled together their resources to develop their charitable foundation. Enough trivia for today. In the meantime, we all have to keep our cool and our patience. We shall overcome.
