``During the last nine months, we evaluated the performance of a variety of ADSL equipment,'' said Michael Kelly, ADSL Business Manager at BC TEL Advanced Communications. ``We were impressed with the international DMT (Discrete Multi-tone) standard and the quality of Amati's products.

``For example, Amati's modems maintained connections regardless of external interference such as radio signals. Other alternative solutions were not as robust and reliable,'' Kelly added.
