The buck is the key IMHO. Neither gold or gold equities are likely to rally much in a stock market selloff unless the buck breaks big time.

BTW the commercials have sharply increased their short position in the Swiss franc as well as gold bullion. Does not augur well for gold longs and dollar shorts near-term absent some rogue event like a big stock selloff.
