Skipper, we definitely agree on hemp! And congratulations for making the 22,000th post, incidentally. It seems hard to imagine that time is passing so quickly, and that some of us have been here for so long. I do disagree about businesses simply being comprised of individuals, if that is what you are saying. Companies operate as very powerful entities, with a "top down" structure, and are driven entirely by the profit motive unless they are forced to take measures to recycle and not pollute. The individuals who work for these companies definitely do not determine environmental policy. This situation may change in the future, as environmental awareness grows and the public is more educated about these issues and demands that the products they buy be as "green" as possible, but that is market driven. At that point, companies will have a selfish incentive.
