"I suppose the Treasury will soon cover the debt for all new car dealerships that can't unload their inventory..." The 'other shoe' will drop soon when GM and Ford go hat-in-hand to Washington asking for $50 Billion bailouts. "this is sick, I think the free markets can take care of itself without any government bailout..." Yep, the worst of both worlds: private profits and public losses (when they are making money it's all theirs, but when they are losing money it's the taxpayer's problem).
