Disappearing files -- A hint...

Right click Recycle Bin, select properties, and Global tab.

Make sure the box marked "Do not move files to Recycle Bin Remove files immediately when deleted" is unchecked.

For the really nervous, check the box marked "Disply delete confirmation dialog box."
