I'm sorry you've been attacked in such a personal, unprovoked, and rather disgusting fashion. Your religious beliefs are not at issue, IMHO. If you base your politics on your beliefs, that's as good as any other basis - at least it's consistent. If enough people share those politics, regardless of the basis, the government will be run by people you would approve of. Unfortunately, in todays society, too may people are either apathetic or greedy, and vote (or don't vote) accordingly. Don't respond to the personal attacks - it solves nothing and only encourages further abuse. You and I may disagree on many things, but that doesn't call for personal attacks, and such attacks add nothing of value to the dialog.
