I believe Iraq is the last foreign adventure of its type. We simply cannot afford it. The same financial pressures that have liquidated the military power of Europe are now catching up.

The rest of the world will have to stand up for itself. In the end - Bagdad is closer to London, Paris and Berlin than New York.
