I wonder how many people are reading this thread and saying "those crazy kids!" as we discuss strategies to retire in 3 years and under the age of 32 ;) They are probably going.. holy smoke, what hype machines... grin All I know is if Feb99-April99 can perform anywhere near Nov98-Jan99 I will not be working anymore... it's been that magical. But I notice the bigger the portfolio gets the more conservative I get ... lol. Losing 20% of a $6000 portfolio is not as staggering as 20% of ... a bigger portfolio :) And in any 3 day period you can easily lose 20% in internet stocks.... I just wake up every day and remind myself of August-early October 1998... it will happen again at sometime.... need to put the rations to the side for that time... Mark
