Thanks for the information.

ESS and Zoran pretty much knew the China market like what is described in the news.
Their strategy is to push SuperVCD chip set for the year 1999 and year 2000.
Sometime prior to year 2001 (where a 8 million unit market is projected for 2001)
ESS will push its DVD solutions much more aggressively than it has been doing now.

This is not new strategy for either ESS or Zoran. I have said it six months ago.

In fact, I think Alex B. also pushed CUBE's SVCD/CVD chipset very aggressively, too.
He can not afford NOT TO. Therefore all the DVD talks in CUBE's site, to me, mostly
are smoke screens. Sorry about putting a needle to that balloon.
