F globalization. I recently read about a middle aged kodak engineer looking for a work the past four years remind the journalist that shifting lo end jobs also kills the high end engineering ones since it makes sense to have them in the same place. The pt here is that a lo dollar aint gonna do much good due to china, thrd wld lo manu. cost.
I think the end game is when china bootstraps its consumer ecnmy. I think wages have quadrupled in the past 10-20 yrs.
As far as fiat I'm not sure it matters if they all slide at the same time.
