"I am an investor, not a speculator.

Access to the internet is a commodity -- which is why AOL is so special. Its own content (i.e., chat rooms, BB's) is anything but a commodity. So, you get that and unlimited internet access for $19.95. I challenge you to identify a product out there that can compete with that combination. It does not exist."

As an investor how do you value this company? Certainly not based on past earnings. There haven't been any. On future earning? Probably so. Well, how much do you think this company will earn you as a stock holder? Do you expect that maybe they will create a whole new profitable revenue base (subscriber and advertising fees) to support their stock price level?

IMO, you are a speculator, hoping that the best of all possible worlds will someday be yours: AOL will dominate the Internet Access market, AOL will additionally have enough draw to its own content, and AOL will be the main ad magnet to cover it's cost for the first two.

I am sceptical this will occur. You are sure it will occur.

Best of luck.
