I've had this doc for four years or so. We had fight last year and other Chief Doc sent me to someone else who seemed very smart. BUTT new doc never even looked at my chart. He looked only at results from last blood test. His conclusion: overactive thyroid.

Had he looked into my chart he would have seen that I have thyroid-pituitary problem. Also, he would have learned that I had: underactive thyroid

I gave up on him and went back to old doc who told me he thinks it is a good idea to get a second opinion but the reason the other doctor misdiagnosed condition was because he didn't review my chart.

So the old doc and I get along quite well now. We've had our fight.

I told the Chief Doc about all the goings on with the thyroid & the way the new doc treated me. He had cut thyroid dose. And when I phoned his office & told secretary I had symptoms of low thyroid she refused to get an appointment with him for me. The new doc that I saw also said that it did not make any difference what time of day I took my medication. He's wrong. The information that my pharmacy gave to me said that other medication can interfere with absorption of thyroid, and if you take it b4 you go to bed it might cause insomnia.

After all that, The Chief Doc said, "my old endocrinologist was brilliant."
