NEW YORK, May 8 (UPI) _ Technology stocks are leading the market's recovery from early
weakness in active trading (Thursday).

Analysts say the technology group is getting a lift from IBM's strength.

IBM is up 4 3/4 to 166 7/8 after Credit Suisse First Boston Corp. raised its 12-month price
target on the computer giant to $195 a share from $165. Iomega, which tops the Big Board
actives, is up 1/2 to 19 1/2. Texas Instruments is up 1 3/8 to 95 1/4.

On the Nasdaq, Cisco Systems is again the most active issue. It is up 2 3/4 to 61 1/2 as the
leading networking company extends its rally on favorable earnings results.

Intel is up 2 to 157 7/8, while Ascend Communications is up 2 3/8 to 50 3/8 and Microsoft is
ahead 1 5/8 to 117 1/8.
