Excuse me for barging in to this fine thread, but perhaps the "media" you are following is dishonest and your "leadership class" is the one accepting a media narrative unquestionably.

Perhaps you'd like to review the transcript of the oral argument and point to exactly those parts of the justices questions that support the "media" version you cite?

Even if a statement or two comes close to what your source represents was said, context is important. Keep in mind that Justices have a "record on appeal" before them, and they regularly point to that record in questions and comments. The record in this case has lots of data in it. Have you read the record on appeal to confirm the accuracy of the "media" you rely on in this post?

Here's the transcript. I've read it, and find absolutely no support for the veracity of the "media" (some dude trying to sell a book, it looks like) you rely upon:

supremecourt.gov

And, fwiw, I actually don't think the federal government (via OSHA in this case) has authority to mandate a Covid vaccine, but I do think the feds have authority for such a mandate over federal employees. That's likely how this case will be decided.

But, again, check your "media" sources -- the case you are pointing to does not mandate vaccines. It mandates either vaccination or testing.
