Marc:
Your observations are right on in my opinion. While THE FOOLS were entertaining, their answers to questions were often flip ("we don't pay attention to interest rates and inflation - we invest for the long term -20/30 years) and displayed their shallow background when compared to the market savant himself, BOB BRINKER. The FOOLs struck me as two pleasant young sprouts who were lucky enough to have a sucessful book. The subtle message I received was "why bother learning all this complicated investment stuff when you can just invest in the Dow Dogs or an Index Fund". Personnaly, I'd rather aim high and try to beat the market. That means learning as much as I can from listening to MONEYTALK each weekend, reading quality investment books, Barrons, and the Marketimer Newsletter, surfing the net for qualifty investment information, and monitoring my investments each week.

At least The FOOLS didn't try to hawk their book at every opportunity like The Goddass.

Given Bob's continued statements about his love for the golf tour, I too just hope that there is a $ amount that ABC could and would offer him that he would not refuse. It will definately be a challange for me to successfully navigate the equity markets in a post Brinker era.
