Dear Jean,

To add to Mr. Dwyer's correct response, the “exclude non-refreshed quotes” option helps avoid the possibility of Market Maker's closed quotes from appearing in Level 2 portion of your Stock Box. This particular circumstance is rare and usually occurs only in the event that a Market Maker ceases to create a market. Depending on his last quote prior to ceasing participation, that inaccurate quote could then be removed my checking the “exclude non-refreshed quotes”.
